As low-wage jobs gain momentum, so do protests over pay

Protestors call for higher minimum wages early Thursday morning at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 5302 E. Busch Blvd. in Tampa, joining a 100-city strike wave. Workers are rallying for a $15 an hour wage and the right to form a union without retaliation. These strikes are part of a growing fast-food worker movement that started with 200 workers striking in New York City just one year ago. (Tampa, Dec. 4, 2013) [DANIEL WALLACE | Times]
