Amputee receives new prosthetic hands

Francisco Piedra, 61, St. Petersburg, is a quadruple amputee as the result of a heart operation in the summer of 2016. Family physician Dr. Luis Jovel, St. Petersburg, medical assistant Danielle Ayala, and members of the Handling the Future, Tampa’s member group of Enablingthefuture.org, got Piedra new hands made with 3-D printer technology.
