Annual Children's Holiday Concert celebrates 25th anniversary

The Annual Children's Holiday Concert celebrated a special anniversary at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. The concert is intended to bring holiday spirit to at-risk children in the community, featuring performances by the Florida Orchestra and Ballet Theater International, as well as a visit from Santa Claus with help from Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia. George M. Steinbrenner created this event 25 years ago on both sides of the Bay to bring holiday cheer for at risk and underprivileged children. The event gives them the opportunity to visit a Broadway style theater, watch a classical concert, holiday dancers and performers. [Will Vragovic | tampabay.com] (Dec. 3, 2013)
