Eckerd soccer player looks for new goal

When Erin Davis was little she’d kick grapefruits across her great-grandmother’s kitchen up in the Pennsylvania woods. She never wasn’t a soccer player. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with compartment syndrome – her muscles growing too fast, stretching the lining around them – and had surgery. After that she felt worse, and would never play the same. Until one day when she got up and somehow ran 12 miles. She can’t play like she used to, but her coach says she gets better each week. And even though she can’t feel them, Erin is getting her legs back. [Eve Edelheit & Chris Zuppa | tampabay.com] (Nov. 8, 2013)
