Florida Aquarium partners with USF Health CAMLS to help injured sea turtle

The Florida Aquarium vet staff will be transporting a green sea turtle named Freud to the USF CAMLS facility for a CT scan and other possible procedures. Freud was transferred to The Florida Aquarium from the panhandle of Florida, where he was found floating and suffering from a possible tear in his lung. Unable to completely diagnose Freud’s condition without sophisticated advanced imaging, The Florida Aquarium is teaming up with the staff at the CAMLS facility to get a better look at his injuries and figure out the best course of action for his recovery.
