Before Rooster and the Till was even an idea, Ferrell Alvarez set out to open up a sandwich shop. But after support from friends and family as investors, he was able to create the popular restaurant that has now become a well known fixture in Seminole Heights. It’s still hard to get a table at the popular restaurant which is known for small dishes with big, bold flavors. Alvarez, who was a semifinalist in 2017 for the James Beard Awards, recently had a series of guest chef dinners with chefs from all over the country preparing their menus for Tampa diners.
